Hornist Larry Williams has distinguished himself as a multifaceted performer, professor, clinician and mentor.  

Williams is currently the Hornist of the Gateways Brass Collective, and Principal Horn of Piedmont Symphony Orchestra, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, and  American Studio Orchestra.  Williams is also a member of the Gateways Festival Orchestra, Sphinx Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Brass Quintet, and Rooftop Wind Quintet.

Williams has performed with the Baltimore, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and New World Symphony Orchestras, among others.   Williams has been featured at music festivals and tours of the US, Russia, China,  Japan, and UK, and has performed with: Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Arturo Sandoval, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Roots, and others.

Williams has premiered and recorded several horn concerti, and has recorded several solo and chamber music albums.

Currently, Williams serves as Adjunct Professor of Horn at Washington Adventist University, and Artistic Director of the DMV Music Academy.  Williams previously served as Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs at Johns Hopkins University, and on the faculty of the Peabody Conservatory of Music, and Florida International University.
